Qui Tam “Whistleblower” Lawsuits – Getting Taxpayers’ Money BackQ: How do I begin a “qui tam” claim? If so, we will prepare the claim and submit a sealed evidence file to the appropriate court. The U.S. or California Attorney General must be given a minimum of 60 days to review the submitted information. If the Attorney General finds that the “qui tam” claim is valid and should be pursued, the Government will then take over the case. If the Government does not take over the case, then the relator has the right to continue the case on his or her own. |
